The Trailblazer

Despite – or perhaps because of – difficult circumstances, my life is like a laboratory with constantly new projects (often with a social background). I provide those around me with new inspiration and dynamics that demonstrate how important it is to simply do things. In other words, to initiate things and keep things moving – especially in times like these.

It all began in 2001 when I founded "Ich-AG" (Me-Inc.) – The door to numerous crazy projects was opened!

I also chose quite an unconventional path with my catering service, "Kulturküche," which existed from 2007 to 2017: Only women with a migrant background cooked there to give this marginalized group a better chance in their professional lives.

When this project came to an end, I embarked on my first extended extreme sports trip, cycling across Africa, from Cairo to Cape Town. This opened up the world of such trips to me and inspired me to constantly seek out new routes and means of transportation. This also gave rise to the following travel ideas:

- 2018: Circumnavigation of Germany by road bike (3,650 km in 16 days)
- 2020: Germany hike from south (Oberstdorf) to north (Flensburg) with a backpack and tent (1,100 km in 21 days)
- 2021: To the North Cape on a kick bike (2,700 km in 30 days)
- 2020: Across the Alps to Sicily on an old ladies' bike
- 2023: Climb the 16 highest peaks in Germany in 16 days
- 2024: To the Olympic Games in Paris on a penny farthing
